I am the Head of Design at Modern Life, a tech-enabled life insurance brokerage building tools to empower advisors.

Previously I was a Design Director at Condé Nast where I helped launch paywalls for Vanity Fair and WIRED and Head of Design at Indify where I established brand and product foundations.

As an independent consultant I've led projects for world-leading innovation studios such as frog, Doberman, Smart Design, R/GA, Hot Studio, and Adaptive Path. Past clients included ASICS, Atlas Obscura, Flickr, Harvard Business Review, HP | Palm, Jawbone, OpenTable, Nike, Nokia, TIAA, Walmart, and Zappos.

In my spare time I've taught Service Design at Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design (CIID) and guest lectured in various graduate and undergraduate design programs.

I started my career in 2004 as the first web designer and front-end developer for open-access publishing pioneer PLoS after graduating from Stanford University with degrees in Science, Technology & Society and Studio Art.
