I am the Head of Design at
Modern Life, a tech-enabled life insurance brokerage building tools to empower advisors.
Previously I was a Design Director at
Condé Nast where I helped launch paywalls for Vanity Fair and WIRED and Head of Design at
Indify where I established brand and product foundations.
As an independent consultant I've led projects for world-leading innovation studios such as
frog,
Doberman,
Smart Design,
R/GA,
Hot Studio, and
Adaptive Path. Past clients included ASICS, Atlas Obscura, Flickr, Harvard Business Review, HP | Palm, Jawbone, OpenTable, Nike, Nokia, TIAA, Walmart, and Zappos.
In my spare time I've
taught Service Design at
Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design (CIID) and guest lectured in various graduate and undergraduate design programs.
I started my career in 2004 as the first web designer and front-end developer for open-access publishing pioneer
PLoS after graduating from Stanford University with degrees in
Science, Technology & Society and Studio Art.
